Leadership ActivitiesWomen's Health Initiative CouncilThe Rural/Frontier Women's Health Coordinating Center (part of the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers) and the Arizona Rural Health Office (part of The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health) have joined together to convene the Arizona Rural Women’s Health Initiative Council. The Council is a statewide advisory committee to analyze, evaluate and think innovatively about rural women’s health in Arizona. Become a Member of the AzRWHI Council! The Council is structured into a statewide group and regional sub-groups. Fill in and submit the Membership Application Form. You will be contacted to determine what effort you want to join. Gaps Anaysis and Action PlanningThe RFCC helped to organize a major forum in Southern Arizona in April 2006 on the topic of sexual assualt and domestic violence against women, and a similar forum in the Northen Arizona area in October 2006. A follow-up to the April forum was held in Nogales in October 2006. Participants in the Southern Arizona Forum worked during a gaps analysis and action planning session to record comments and recommendations around these issues.
